About the Festival
The Las Vegas Film Festival is an international cinema event dedicated to celebrating independent film, contemporary storytelling, and global cinema. Filmmakers, audiences, and industry professionals gather in Las Vegas for eight days in January for screenings, premieres, filmmaker Q&As, panel discussions, networking events, and the Gala Awards Night.
Hosted at Brenden Theatres at the Palms Casino Resort, the festival presents more than 350 curated films from around the world. The Festival showcases emerging voices alongside established filmmakers across feature films, documentaries, short films, world cinema, and experimental films.
The City of Las Vegas
Las Vegas provides a distinctive stage for international cinema. The festival celebrates the city’s creative spirit while helping strengthen its role as a year round destination for the global film community through screenings, cultural partnerships, and cinematic events that extend well beyond festival week.
Las Vegas has always been a city built around entertainment, imagination, and reinvention. The Las Vegas Film Festival brings independent filmmakers into that tradition, creating a place where new voices, international perspectives, and original stories can be discovered in one of the most recognized entertainment cities in the world.
Year Round Cinema
Beyond the annual festival, the Las Vegas Film Festival keeps the community connected through regular programming:
Weekly Curated Film Series screenings
The annual ShortCut Cinema Awards
Monthly Community Screenings that promote cinema
The Las Vegas Film Festival is committed to discovering new voices, celebrating artistic excellence, and preserving the shared experience of cinema on the big screen while embracing the future of independent film.
Las Vegas Film Festival’s commitment to independent film extends beyond the festival. Through partnerships with IVOX+, theatrical distribution partners, and other platforms, selected projects may be invited to pursue digital exhibition, licensing, and distribution opportunities following their festival run. While festival selection does not guarantee a deal, these partnerships are designed to connect standout independent creators with broader audiences.
We believe a film festival should be more than a one-time premiere. By connecting exhibition with potential distribution, we help filmmakers extend the life of their work and reach new audiences long after the festival ends.
