The Las Vegas Film Festival Returns to Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV: Independent cinema is returning to the Entertainment Capital of the World.
The Las Vegas Film Festival today announced its return with an all-new international festival celebrating independent filmmaking from around the globe. Scheduled for January 14–21, 2027, the Festival will bring filmmakers, audiences, and industry professionals together for eight days of feature films, documentaries, short films, filmmaker conversations, industry events, and special screenings throughout Las Vegas.
Created to feature bold storytelling and emerging voices, the Festival will showcase outstanding independent cinema while embracing today’s evolving creative landscape, including feature films, documentaries, episodic projects, podcasts, music videos, and short-form digital content.
More than 350 films are expected to be screened for the inaugural program, with Official Selections representing filmmakers from Las Vegas, across the United States, and around the world. In addition to screenings, the Festival will feature filmmaker Q&As, educational panels, networking opportunities, and community events designed to celebrate the art and business of filmmaking.
Additional announcements regarding the Festival venue, awards program, industry initiatives, partnerships, and special events will be made in the coming months.

Submissions will open this August with additional information available in the weeks ahead.
The return of the Las Vegas Film Festival marks the beginning of a new chapter for independent film and world cinema for Las Vegas built on artistic excellence, international collaboration, and a commitment to connecting filmmakers with audiences.
